A very succesful harvest

We have just harvested 241 kg fresh weight of Saccharina Latissima, which has been sustainably cultivated in the Macro Algae Cultivation Rig in the Faroe Islands. This harvest represents a milestone for Ocean Rainforest and the MacroBiotech project. There was excellent growth and for some of the lines, it was the third harvest since the lines were seeded and deployed without re-seeding.

The harvested seaweed has been packaged and shipped to a customer in Germany.
