MacroValue will address these challenges and come up with concrete solutions through state of the art information collection and analysis, method development for storing and extraction processes, and market tests together with commercial end-users.
The project commenced in April 2015, and during the summer preparation and installation were made for an hatchery onsite the Faroe Islands. Samples have been collected every month for analysis of seasonal variations, and in November 5000 meters of seeded lines were deployed at the cultivaiton site in the Faroe Islands. The first harvest is expected to take place in April 2016. Market activites has also been undertaken according to the plan. Thus the project is on track according to the project milestones and plan.
